Simon’s passion for working with students struggling to thrive in traditional schooling began early in his career, where he gained valuable insights into the barriers students face, including learning differences, mental health challenges, and systemic obstacles. This sparked a lifelong commitment to championing inclusive practices and effective re-engagement strategies.
Over the years, Simon has progressed from classroom teaching in both mainstream and specialist settings to leadership roles, including Assistant Principal and school improvement specialist. These roles have shaped his expertise in developing tailored programs that address diverse learning needs, enhance social-emotional outcomes, and amplify student voice.
As a scholarship graduate from Melbourne University with a Master’s degree in Instructional Leadership, Simon combines academic depth with practical experience. He has collaborated with some of the leading minds in education, continually refining his approach to student engagement and school improvement.
With a deep understanding of the challenges families face when advocating for their children, Simon excels in fostering strong partnerships between schools, students, and parents.
