School Re-engagement Workshop for teachers – A roadmap to successfully re-engaging students back into learning
Our interactive workshop provides an overview of what is happening with school refusal, what to look for to make a change, and what works to overcome it. It is designed for schools and / or parents.
This workshop guides the discussion of how you are using proactive or preventative approaches when navigating school avoidance. We look at the difference between ‘attendance data’ and ‘engagement data’ to help change your focus to the influences and not the stressors for young people.
As well as providing an overview of the Can’t Face School model of practice, participants will receive practical guidance and resources to take away. Our workshops give a change of narrative for parents and schools for them to consider re-engagement through a new lens.
School refusal approaches require managing expectations, collaborative problem solving techniques, and a mutual understanding between families and schools. There is flexibility within our system to cope with this so that all involved can create successful outcomes. This workshop will promote thinking and solutions about how this can best work for you.
These School Re-engagement Workshops are relevant and current to ensure you receive a good dose of the evidence as well practical strategies for you to take away.
